Image Specifications
1920 x 1080px & Max Size 2MB
Users Must have to present RAW or unedited JPEG images if image receives any award.
Mobile Photography
Mobile Photography section images must be taken from mobiles & it will be checked during award selection. So don’t remove EXIF data from your images.
Section Definition
We will follow FIP rules for Open Sections. Nude Photographs will be disqualified.
Each participant can submit up to 4 entries.
Must Remember
Photos must be original, good in resolution, and taken by the participant.
Basic editing (cropping, adjusting brightness/contrast, etc.) is allowed, but extreme manipulation that alters the authenticity of the photo is discouraged.
Awards
Competition Terms & Rights Summary
a. Copyright & Usage Rights Photographer Retains Full Copyright:
You are and remain the sole copyright owner and creator of your submitted photographs.
b. Credit Guarantee: When your images are exhibited or screened by Bengal Photography and Magazine (BPM) anywhere, proper credit lines will always be attributed to you (the photographer).
c. Promotional Usage Grant: You grant BPM a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to reproduce and use the submitted photographs (with photographer copyright credit) for promotional purposes directly related to BPM activities. This includes use in exhibitions, catalogs, calendars, videos, and websites.
a. Entry & Eligibility Requirements Ownership Confirmation:
By entering, you confirm you have the legal right to submit the photographs to this competition.
b. Intellectual Property (IP) Guarantee: You warrant that the photograph does not infringe upon any third party's copyrights, trademarks, contract rights, or any other intellectual property rights, nor does it violate any person’s rights of privacy or publicity.
c. Model Permission (Privacy/Publicity): You confirm that every person depicted in the photograph has granted permission to be portrayed as shown, and you have the right to grant that permission.
d. No AI-Generated Content: This competition does not accept AI-generated photos. Only photographs captured and edited by humans, without the use of AI algorithms or any form of artificial intelligence, are eligible. The competition celebrates human creativity and originality.
a. Processing & Judging Permitted Post-Processing:
Digital post-processing to optimize an image is allowed (e.g, adjustments to brightness, contrast, and color balance).
Images can be slightly cropped.
Retouching of minor elements (e.g., dust spots) is permitted.
Techniques realistically achievable in a darkroom are acceptable.
b. Prohibited Manipulation: Key elements of the composition cannot be added or removed.
c. Jury Discretion: Jurors have the right to reject any entry they believe has been overly manipulated, compromising the integrity of the original image.
d. Original File Request: Participants nominated for the final round will be required to submit the RAW/original camera files of their photographs for verification.
e. Judging Process: All entries will be reviewed and pre-screened by BPM editors and industry professionals. The screened entries will then be reviewed by the jury. The jury will choose the winners, and their decisions are final.
a. Fees & Refunds Non-Refundable Fee:
Once the submission fee is paid, no refunds will be provided.
b. Correction of Errors: If you have been wrongly charged for any reason, BPM will credit the amount due.
